Robo-FTP lost activation when moving the virtual machine upon which it is installed to another host server

NOTE: This article was written based on Robo-FTP 3.9. The steps may vary for versions that are older or newer. Consult the Help file with your version of Robo-FTP for more details regarding activation.

Moving a virtual machine to a different host server may cause Robo-FTP to lose its activation.

The recommended process when moving the virtual machine is to do the following:

If the old host did not have access to the Internet, or was not able to reach our license server for some reason, you may see this error when you attempt to activate the license on the new host:

If you see this error, you can click No and then perform a manual activation using the removal confirmation code generated on the old host.
