Error: Could not import certificate filesKeyFile format Unimplemented

If you receive an error while importing an SSL certificate in PFX format you may need to split it into separate files before Robo-FTP can import it.

You can use OpenSSL to split a PFX file. You can download it from this web page: OpenSSL for Windows.

Launch the installer program and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation (accept all the default settings).

The following instructions assume you have a PFX file named Robo-FTP.pfx located in the C:\OpenSSL\bin directory.

You should now be able to import the resulting Robo-FTP.cer and Robo-FTP.key files into the Robo-FTP Configurator.

NOTE: This should apply to Robo-FTP 3.7 and earlier. Robo-FTP 3.8 and later should be able to import PFX file format SSL certificates without splitting them first.
