Folder and Virtual Folder permissions in Robo-FTP Server

Robo-FTP Server 3.4 and Later

Robo-FTP Server version 3.4 has configurable permissions for all virtual folders and the user's home directory.

Robo-FTP Server 3.3 and Earlier

Prior to version 3.4 file and folder permissions in Robo-FTP Server are controlled by the underlying Windows File System.

Folder and Virtual Folder access in Robo-FTP Server is limited by Windows file and folder permissions. Permissions are generally controlled by the account specified as the "Login" on the Administration menu in the Server Console program. The only exception to this rule occurs when a user account is configured to use "NT Authentication" as the means of account authorization.

In a default installation, each account will only be able to access its own subfolder which is defined as ServerRoot\AccountName where the Root Folder is defined on the FTP Server or the SFTP Server menu.
