The self-extracting Robo-FTP installation program actually launches another program instead (Robo-FTP 3.6 or earlier, Robo-FTP Server 3.1 or earlier)

The Robo-FTP self-extraction process is getting confused by some temporary files left on your PC from a previous software installation.

You can resolve this problem by copying the Robo-FTP download exe file to a different folder on your PC and running it from there. A second method is to run the Windows system tool and delete temporary files and then repeat the Robo-FTP download.
