How to upgrade to Robo-FTP Server v3.2.x
For the most part, upgrading is simple. Just run the new installer and it will upgrade your older version to the current version.
However, under certain circumstances there are a few extra steps you must take when upgrading from versions prior to v3.2.
Please read the following carefully before beginning the upgrade process.
- If you have Robo-FTP Server installed as a service, make sure you execute the uninstall service shortcut in the Robo-FTP Server start menu group.
- After upgrade you will be brought to a screen that allows you to install the service. Whatever user you install the service as must be granted read and traverse permissions for your users' home directories. If you are not using NT authentication you must also give that user whatever access to those folders that you want your users to have.
The upgrade process should maintain all settings from the previous version.
