What are virtual folders?

A virtual folder lets you give a user access to a particular directory on the server's local drive that is outside that user's home directory.

This can also be used to give access to that directory to more than one user.

Finally, a virtual folder enables you to customize permissions for that directory.

Simply select a folder on the local drive that the user requires access to, and then assign the name the folder will have when the user sees it in his or her home folder when logging on.
