When I export my settings from an old machine and import them to a new machine running Robo-FTP, my saved sites are there but the passwords are not (Robo-FTP 3.6.x and earlier)
This is a known issue which was resolved in version 3.6.8.
To work around this issue, you will first need to install Robo-FTP 3.6.8 on the old machine (it should upgrade the older version in place). Next, run Robo-FTP.exe and go to File → Export Settings. Check the 'Save Passwords' box. You should now be able to export your settings and import them to the new machine.
IMPORTANT: These instructions only apply to upgrading to Robo-FTP 3.6.8 through 3.6.17.
If you are upgrading to a newer version of Robo-FTP, please follow the upgrade instructions in the migration guide for that version of Robo-FTP. It will include specific instructions for how to migrate settings to the newer version (both in place on the same machine and also when moving between machines).
